Key responsibilities.
Optimizing the company’s purchasing activities in China incl. developing strategic supplier relationships within foundries, forging and heavy precision machining companies.
Market analyses, research and selection of reliable suppliers.
Support Project Management Dept. in selection of best suppliers for new projects.
Issue inquiries for casting, forging and machining services; analyze costs and negotiating competitive prices and delivery times in accordance with project plans and requirements.
Ensure the necessary documentation for the purchasing activities.
Meetings with suppliers to review performance.
Reporting to Rimadan (Ningbo) Co. Ltd.′s Danish Logistics Manager.
Requirements.
Diploma or bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
Excellent understanding of the cost drivers within foundries, forging and heavy precision machining companies.
Experience as purchaser in an international environment/-culture.
At least 5-10 years of business experience.
Contracting knowledge to heavy and precision machined equipment and machine parts eg. windmills or ship production.
Creative and innovative problem solving approach.
High-level skills in business English.
Personality: Open minded, strong personality and strong negotiation skills, self driving and courage to say “no”. Age probably 30-45 years.
